i am trying to create some buttons by drawing them in illustrator then saving them. Only problem is when I save them using the save for web feature and then preview them in a browzer they are choppy around the edges. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have tried every setting in the save for web section that is available using a gif. Any advice?

I have attached a button so that you can see what I am talking about.

I would but the images that I have saved from the web are all gif so I know that it can be done that way and it seems like it is the prefered method for all others making icons out there.

Illustrator you say.. dont have to program, might want to try Desing and Drawing section, but .. this is just poking in the dark.. can it be a 'slice thing' I dunno if Illustrator does slices?

You can always convert GIF's to JPEG...

the problem is that when you save as a gif its probably saing it with a transparent background which is why i think its doing this pixeled effect on the edges try saving it as a gif with no transparency if all else fails jpg is your best solution
