hey - dunno if any of you like indie and post hardcore but there is a site that does interviews and live performances with really great indie acts and then offers the sometimes previously unreleased tracks for free on their site.

some really good stuff here: http://www.daytrotter.com/songsdown

there's also archives of all the bands interviews and they have on-site illustrators that always do custom drawings of the artists to serve as a cover for the songs they do live there.

very cool.

i suggest downloading tracks from:
O'Death
Death Cab For Cutie
The A-Sides
Bonnie Prince Billy
Cold War Kids
Cursive
Of Montreal
The Rentals
Sea Wolf
Time Fite
Tapes N Tapes
and Voxtrot

a few of my favs..

Yeah dude. That site is awesome. They had a session with Death Cab just before Narrow Stairs came out. Got to download 2 songs before the release for free. I'm all about that.

That site is somewhere in the bay area, not sure exactly. For those who do live near San Francisco, you may want to check out www.bandega.com (http://www.bandega.com). It keeps track of nearly all the shows going on in the city, and you can sign up to get email alerts when bands you like are playing.
