I'm colorblind as a colorblind bat, and for some reason, I really really suck at typography. So I'm humbly asking for some suggestions as to colors for this site, and some typography suggestions.

Any help much appreciated in advance.

But I'm colorblind... :(
I'm looking for a dull yellow/strong black palette. Can you spoonfeed me a few samples (from any palette generator) like the baby I am?

Hm... I wonder if there's a typography palette generator out there? :O

Are you really asking for someone to do your work and make things look good for you without any compensation whatsoever? Weak.

Not really. I really am pretty colorblind so I need help picking colors.

So far as typography, I could do that, have studied many tutorials and have tried, I'm just no good at matching fonts together so I'm whining on here hoping someone has a link to a site with a bunch of typography palettes(?).

Besides, whats the use of help forums if you don't use them to ask help with?

good typography == practice

bypassing the practice == bad typography

Understood.

....but if you were gonna put that on a website, would you use Verdana or Georgia? :)

Serif Headlines
Sans-serif Sub Headlines/Body Copy

Will do, thanks.

Edit: It worked. Bell MT is a great Headliner, and Arial sans-serif actually looked good with it. My buttons are still ugly, but oh well.
