background keeps peeking through damnit

so it's been awhile since I've worked in flash - currently building this little site:

now go to "work" > "commercial" and hit on any project within that sub category...as you go from project to project the initial "work" purple screen with "flying v" type things keeps peeking through - I need to stop this from happening...

here's how everything is currently working:

- the main movie (purple shell with main nav) is level 0
- the sub category menu (current/residential/commercialurban) is level 99
- the projects within "commercial" sub category are in levels 10 to 20 (w/white bkgd)
- so when the "comm" projects are loading and unloading the purple bkgd is visible

Is there a better way to do this so the purple bkgd isn't visible when the projects are swaping (they're image heavy-so independent movies) - I'm not super actionscript savvy...many thanks
