i was just wondering if it was possible to get the same view in photoshop as you can in illustrator where on the navigator you can move the red box past the side of the canvas,
i'm not sure if i've explained it well but i hope you can help,

Are you talking about when it is zoomed in?

ok here is the problem with pictures,
this is the illustrator navigator, as you can see you can move the red box past the canvas and outside,

does anyone know how to get the view in photoshop to be like the one in illustrator,

illustrator can be used for page layouts (but everyone uses QuarkXPress) so, that nav. box is just letting you view what is outside of those guidelines (not the canvas) where as in PS, your viewing the whole canvas.
