It's coming along, i haven't implemented comments or scrollbars yet but its something.

Eventually I'll have a full API for getting whatever you want out of WordPress and displaying it however you want in Flash.

Comments?

Some thing you NEED to do:
Deeplinking,

Some thing you SHOULD do:
Support the basic plugin architecture

I was making a flex theme for wordpress but never finished it, it's a good start you have. Keep going with it.

I plan on working in deep linking with SWFAddress, but I really don't know how I could support plugins. Any tips or previous knowledge would be appreciated.
I'm also a brand new WP user so a list of requested features would be good to have.

Great to see such an effort. It would be better if you could also integrate it with SWF Address. Cheers! :beam:

^^ With regards to the plugins how good is your PHP? There would be several ways to approach it depending on your confidence in PHP.

@ hobbbz, is your version downloadable or are you gonna release it ???? Am I missing something ?

-----------------------------

In this thread post I posted about - blogs, flash, wordpress etc.. (numerous links)
http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2273318&postcount=4

Specifically about this one, PressConnect - "PressConnect is a PHP Script I have developed to connect my Flash Website to my Wordpress Content." It already has SWFAddress support, Comments, etc...

Tim Wilson - Press Connect, free download
http://tvwonline.net/lab/pressconnect/

PressConnect Wordpress FLA - info about its release
http://tvwonline.net/flash/#/page_id=44&article=78/

PressConnect Flash Wordpress Template $99/198 (personal/commercial)
http://tvwonline.net/lab/flashWordpressTemplate/

People reading this thread might also find that interesting. However I am curious to see what happens with Fless development, its release etc.

Thanks for all the good comments guys. It will be downloadable eventually, when I consider it 1.0 ready.

If you visit http://juliankussman.com/blog you can visit my standard WordPress installation and make comments as usual until I get them implemented in Fless.

The real question is will your system be able to hold up a wp with 1000 or more posts in it?

The plugin thing would be really easy if you had access to the html air library. I hope they include it in flash 10 release.

I don't see why not, as it is, I make a call to (simplified)
Fless.getPosts([startIndex = 0], [endIndex = null])
and this returns XML, you can ask for post 998-1000 and it's the same work as asking for post 1-3.

However, asking for posts 1-1000 may give you some trouble, just in terms of load time, but it's still only dependent on the network and a little bit of processing. I don't see why anyone would want to list 1000 posts at once.

Shouldn't it be "using fast and reliable Aral Balkan`s SWX"?
