Finally can relax some..

Hey all, i just wanted to say hello, and let you know where ive been (actually this is more of a Rant).

Ive been working so hard on this program for my Job, and its been he!l... They gave me this project, so i programmed it, then we launched it... didnt work... so they get mad at me.. saying my program doesnt work. However its their Data from the DB that doesnt work. SO after all these VP's of the university (i work at a university) get on my case and yell at me yadda yadda.. so i programm and re program getting it working so i get it working...
then they changed it all on me.. so i re-programmed it again.. and then we finally said, look no more.
I stayed up 33 hours working strait one day.. yikes!

Anyway, its acutally the fault of administrators not saying Stop and backing me up, and once they finally did i could relax.. So today is the day i am at home, and relaxing not worring about work. =)

Sucks, but hey it works.. good thing is my Boss told me im one of the best programmers she has... so its either saying im good, or that our whole dept sucks lol =) i dont think its the latter but i doubt the prior =) hehe o well just had to share =)

Ouch man. I know the feeling all too well. I work for a high school district and we are always under the gun like that. However, I happen to have a a-hole of a boss who makes things worse.

yea... fortunatly my boss cares about us and tries to keep us happy and working, however its the politics and higher ups that make my life miserable..

ANd get this!
today, all these Directorrs and VP's got out of a Meeting.. and i was leaving for lunch, and so i held the door open for these people, cause im nice and kind., Not one person said thank you... NOT ONE! And i really dont like Rude or inconsiderate people, its not right! And i think its so horrible that these rich b&st&rds are so stuck up, that they cant even say Thank you when something nice happens.. I wonder if it even occurs to them..

yea i got 2 complements, but its enough hehe =) when i made my Big boss (the IT director) Smile and he told me im doing a good job... that was good enough of a complement for me =) hehe

Congrats Ray - way to stick it out dude and get the job done... it's going to look great if they ever call your place for a refrence. Way to go man.

As for those "higher ups" being ***'s it happens... and all to often - that's for sure. It really pisses you off to see people with so much privlage take it for advantage and not even let out so much as a thank you for your work.

Ah well - welcome to the real world I guess... being a highschool kid was so much easier :)

Isnt that the truth!

But i enjoy the real world (to some degree) cause i know im going to be in their position someday as a CEO or Owner of some company etc, but i know im staying grounded because if you're not nice and kind what is life worth living? my goal is to be successfull and to make products people will use and enjoy etc, not to make billions of dollars, cause you get to the point where ultimatly, money means nothing... its family and friends that matter...
