Fake or Foto?

There's a good test on Alias|Wavefront's website.

It gives you ten images, and asks you which are CG and which are real... it's quite hard actually.

the table and glass really looked like photos - the ones that really fooled me are the nails - which could easily have been made in 3d - and the green grass. Looks superb

I could see the spoon one very easily as well. The reflections just looked too perfect.

I thought the grass one was CG as well. The grass was too green.

It's pretty impressive though, what these 3d artists can do ,isn't it...

yay! i got 9/10 right, and i got the golf ball one right, i missed the one with the nails laying there.
On the bonus i got 3/4 and im proud of it, those were alot harder

bonus round:

4/4!! They almost tricked me with the dice, they look soo.. square. And the glasss, but I saw that the water wasn't curling where it touches the glass, so it was fake. So chemistry lessons are good! :D For one thing at least.

These must be more then a year old now, seen them quite a while ago. I'm sure they would be much more difficult to tell if they did more recent ones!
