nokrev.com (http://nokrev.com)

I never made a thread for it, so I suppose I'll listen to the opinions now. It's extremely simple--much to much so, for most people here, but I like it.

I also killed off my blog. I didn't like it anyways (although some of the articles that got a lot of links are still online). My favorite part is the gitweb server (click the code link) where the source for the site is public, along with a few other things I've made. It's neato.

For once I actually spent time making it sound good.

I like the approach you have for this version. There's a nice flow about navigation through reading your sentences.

I didnt really like transitioning from the light colourscheme of your site to the http://code.nokrev.com/ section, and the appearance of the Git service takes me aback. Its only something minor though.

I dont mind the simplicity. Initially I felt a bit starved for content, but everything you need *is* there.

What I think would really add to the site would be small simple little sketches, a bit like the ones you find on minties packets. Actually I dont think its the minties style exactly, my memory fails me, but I do remember the characters were small-formed, had big noses and kind of resembled lemmings.

I think its a very clean and nice design, ill wait to see what others say.

good work!

It's simple and nice, I like it. Style the code repository, though.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that. The code repo is pretty much universal (most famous on the kernel's server (http://git.kernel.org/)), and instantly recognizable.

I'm not sure whether I should or not... I can see the advantage of consistency, but also somewhat like the theme of gitweb--it works well for the code. I'm not sure. I've never seen a styled one.

Thanks for the other words

By the way, just curious, what ever happened to that logo that you designed a long while ago? I'd like to see a revival in its use as it had good potential-

and a byline 'nurturing tidbits of code' or something to that effect!

Ha!

I'd completely forgotten about that... this thread (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224388) actually resulted in a far better logo that reef_gurl (;)) designed.

I don't know if I still even have that logo... it kicked ***, but I don't think it would fit in this context. It served me well for a very long time. :P
