i'm having trouble drawing glass in flash. can someone tell me an easy way to make realistic looking glass? it needs to be mostly transparent, as the site navigation will be behind it...

just do a lot of tests on what looks best...mainly gear your focus on the highlights...that is what will make it look like glass!!!

should the highlights be more opaque or more transparent when they get nearest the part where there's the most reflection?

look at some 3d or real life glass pics - that should help you draw them...

i ended up just making the edges darker, rather than the inside brighter, it looks pretty good for drawing it all in flash
here's a rough draft, i still have to decide how to color the pole, and the slide, then i have to animate it

they have a tut for like glass buttons and such I would imagine you could tweak the tutorial a bit to make it look like glass. And fireworks has the same vector tools as flash basically. No layer blends necessary. I can imagine how to do it but to lazy to type it up. If this tut does not help maybe I can write up something quik
