Hey all.
I might get a new monitor and need something 20in + with great color / vibrancy. I do web / print design mainly and would like to get some recommendations from you all before I trust people who write reviews on tigerdirect.com

Hmm... 1920x1200 would be best for design work.

24"... but thats just a cheap monitor... they have more expensive ones that are much better... probably need a price range.
//edit, usually all the dells are fairly good if they have a low MS.

I use 3 Dells, a 20" and two 19".
Not had any problems, good colour, good for gaming, and they are cheap. I got the 19s for £400 for the pair.

Well you might be better off getting 2x 19"
That or get a single 24.
(u still didn't tell us your budget so we could show you some monitors).

When I bought my new computer, I got $200 off any monitor from the store. I basically got a Samsung 24" LCD for $250. 19" are still pretty expensive nowadays aren't they? They are like $200.

Budget is like 200 - 350. I'm getting a 24" iMac later this year, summer if I'm likely, so two 19"s are out.

Samsung makes some excellent displays. Check them out.

Depends on what resolution you want. I would rather get one 24" running at 1920x1200 as opposed to two monitors on a lesser resolution (anything less than 1600x1200 for 4:3) :)

Your budget limits you to a sub 22". Go with whichever one is the cheapest and biggest.

I realise your budget is pretty low (is that 250-300 dollar$), but I thought I'd throw this in anyway...

30" of flat panel loveliness. I have the 24" version of this HP and it's great. thinkit retails for about £700.00 ($1400.00 i guess) so suppose it's kinda outta your ball park at the moment, but I've seen this thing in the shops, and although I work on 2x19" at work, I think I'd prefer this 2560 x 1600 bad boy...
Incidentally, and I'm not sure where I heard this either, the actual panel in this is the same one mac uses.. Think it's a samsung, although that's direct from the recall centre of my brain, so someone prove me wrong please...

I would recommend the one I have:
http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=computersperipherals&type=monitors&subtype=lcd&model_cd=LS22MEWSFV/XAA
It costs $305 over at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-226BW-22-Inch-Digital-Widescreen/dp/B000NBBWNU
Its never failed one me or nothing .. colors are freaking amazing.. 2ms response. 3000:1.. dynamic contrast.. auto positioning or w/e u call it..
I love it. :]

I just got a 22 inch widescreen HP (I think it's model number is like w2207), while the resolution is only 1680 or 1650 or whatever by whatever (no, I can not formulate a thought) it's still really awesome. Just started playing with it today but it is hot as something toasty.

@nobody...
why does your "posts" **** constantly look like it's reseting itself back to zero man?
thought I'd just throw that one in there after pondering for a while! :pa:

He does it. That or he never resets it to the old post count after changing his name.

Right now I'm using a horrible ViewSonic G90f CRT. It's reliable but fat and ugly. If your looking for a CRT I would recommend them. I feel so old school.
@biznuge: He believes the smaller your post count the more manly you are.

I do it for the hell of it, no real reason.
Sorry for the little detour.
