Requirements for a Blu-Ray drive?

Does your computer need to have any specific requirements for a Blu-Ray drive?

I heard you need to have a compatible monitor, does that just mean one that uses the DVI lead instead of RGB?

Looking to get a BD re-writer drive since you can get them for about £180.

The price has dropped so much, they were like £500 6 months ago.

I'd say hold off buying it for another month or 2 since Toshiba is calling it quits on the format war prices should go down even more.

Can't afford it just yet anyway, so it will probably be a month or so until I get around to actually getting one :P
