Does anybody know about any actionscript 3.0 editors for a mac?

I dont know about mac editors, but most of my friends who're developing with a mac do this:
Get a windows emulator on their mac and use flashdevelop.

You can use Flash, Flex Builder and I think there may be a new version of Flash Develop coming out for the Mac soon (it may be out). I am not sure if SEPY does AS3 or not but it has a Mac version.

Textmate rock, but you need flash to compile.

Textmate rock, but you need flash to compile.

Not exactly, it's much better when you use the Flex SDK. If you get the TextMate trial, search for their AS3 bundle and you'll be able to compile through the command line compilers (mxmlc or fsch) from there quite quickly. I've been thinking about switching to XCode3, which you can download from Apple's developer site after signing up for an account.

I use Eclipse with the Flash Developer's Tool (FDT) plugin. Its so good... control clicking through code, code-complete, ANT builds, etc.

I hear FDT is real good but cost more than Textmate. Textmate is great and has a smaller learning curve than eclipse. And yes you can compile with the flex compiler, ant or fsch. You can also compile from CS3 directly from Textmate. Eclipse to me seems more for the power user/guru but if you want to get up and running quickly and still have a lot of good editing capabilities on a Mac in particular then you can't lose with Textmate.

I use Eclipse FDT combo. It is really worth the 300 something euro you haveto pay. And you dont NEED to use it to compile. I find that to use eclipse (Ant) or whatever often takes longer time than just to compile in flash. And it seems to be a super high learning curve... For bigger productions maby, but how often do you make very big productions in flash.

A friend of mine at work uses TextMate and he likes that very much. But i dont think it has the codehinting that FDT does.

I got a PC at work just because I wanted to use FlashDevelop. It is a very good program.

So now I use FlashDevelop for smaller stuff och Eclipse FDT for bigger sites or Apps.

PS: If you istall Windows on your mac, ITS NOT A MAC!! its a good looking PC..
