I'm not much of a gamer, but I picked this one up today:
http://www.amazon.com/F-E-A-R-First-Encounter-Assault-Recon/dp/B0000ZUGZ4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1202709077&sr=8-5
I decided to get a game because I need some way to take the load off of my crazy schedule and chose that game for the low price...
Have any of you played it before? How is it?

I played it on PC the day it came out. Loved it to death... back then it took everything I had to run it. I beat it strait through in 2 days. Finished the game at 2 or 3 in the morning... creeped the hell out of me all the way through.
You will like it... but IMO its a mouse shooter.

Well, as my days dictate, I've not had much time to play it. However, what time I have had to play a few scenes thoroughly gave me the damn creeps, and I'm satisfied to say that I'm looking forward to playing it again.
Like I said, I'm not really much for gaming, and I've got a pretty nice sound system hooked up to my computer ('cause I love my music :)), so I don't feel too bad saying that I nearly left a big fat turd in my pants the first time I walked around a corner and "ghost" (or whatever they are) walked out in front of me. Talk about shootin' wild :P Creepy, creepy game...lol. Even more so than Resident Evil...

F.E.A.R. is a whole lot of fun. Just make sure you play alone with the lights off, it makes for some truly frightening moments.
Yes, I did play it on the PS3:rabbit: . Too bad nobody ever plays online, I don't think many people bought the game.

Multiplayer was kind of fun for a while right when it came out but really gets boring after a bit.
Def playing it after 10pm till 2am is a perfect time.

I actually haven't had a chance to play this game; though from what you guys are saying about the scariness, I'm really not sure if I want to.

It's not "mess your pants" scarey, but it will surprise you especially when *SPOILER*
Nah...I won't spoil anything, but pay attention to the plot. It's kinda hard to follow and complex, but definitely not boring.:thumb:

Damn good game imo. The multiplayer is also free. The campain was kinda short but still pretty good.

@Capt: Well that's a relief, my pants have been messed up too many times already by scary video games late at night. (I have an extremely sensitive fear/horror complex.)
