javascript & flash player problem

hi. so, a couple days ago, my internet randomly stopped playing flash files. it tells me to enable javascript or download the latest flash player. i have done both, many times, and the files still do not play. do you have any idea why this could be, and how to fix it? btw, ive always been able to play them, but just recently it randomly stopped working.

Which browser are you using?

the problem is in IE7. i downloaded firefox though, so im not using internet explorer, although the problem still exists.
