Flash 8 Classes

I am using a custom class in Flash Pro 8. When I test the .fla using the class with import... the code works and everything is OK - but when I test the compiled swf the program does not work. I have set the class path in the Preferences menu to the folder in which the class resides. Any ideas??

could be a number of things - but once you compile your swf from Flash the class is no longer needed, its compiled with the swf. So if you can view your piece while running through the Flash IDE - and when you post your swf to a server it doesn't work:

• preloading issues
• path issues if you're loading items into your swf
• any other number of items

post your files for us to look at, if it works in the IDE and not on a server, should be a fairly simple issue to solve.
