I think it's funny, and has been blown way outta proportion.
On the other hand though - it wasnt called for and he is a grown man, but its' still funny... it's too bad the mascot got a bit hurt, other wise it would have been real funny :)

she only got a scraped knee out of it i think.
i can totally see how embarrasing it was for simon though. he was just trying to be funny and joke around...his swing was like less than a "check" swing.
i can't believe he was arrested for it.

i saw that on espn the other day. although it was a simple joke, it was a pretty stupid move. just because you play for a crappy team doesnt mean you have to take it out on the sausage racers!

Although in this "sue anyone you can" world this guy is lucky she took it as a joke. I fully expected this to turn into a big circus, and could see her wanting large amouts of cash. I am glad it didn't turn out that way. =)

i just saw it on sports center...it was funny, but stupid. glad no one got hurt
