I'm getting a XBox 360 Elite for Christmas so was doing some digging around in regards to the extra stuff and the costs of games etc and I was wondering about peripherals...

Does anyone know if the peripherals for the 360 can be used on computers? I ask this because I know the controllers can be used if the USB receiver is bought first and installed, but was wondering about the Wireless Headset? Also, the LIVE Camera, can that be used? I know that you can use the PS2's EyeToy Camera as a webcam with unofficial drivers from the Internet, and people had already interfaced their Wii remotes with their computers.

Was wondering if anyone else are doing, or have done, bridging of other wired/wireless peripherals that were meant for consoles, to their computers.

I know the mic that plugs into the controller works on my pc because I tested it out on my 360 controller... don't know if the wireless mic would work though.

Ehh... if you plan on buying these accessories anyway you could just test them. I can tell you that the 360 controller is built into a few games like crysis although without auto aim you about want to shoot yourself after a while.

I'd buy the USB Receiver for my PC if I knew whether the Wireless Headset would work, that would make my life a lot easier and cheaper because I'd already have the gear.

Its only like 15USD if I remember right (10. if you purchase a controller also). I'd be more concerned with games not playing right with the controller though. Even though they support it it doesn't always work the best.

OK apparently support is available/coming soon for the Wireless Headset :D
This pleases me.

I think the XBOX 360 only does one brand of Wireless Headset...
