Good compsition, good choice of colors and highlights...

Never used painter before, but I think you should vary brushstrokes a bit... And as its digital you can go a do a bit more detail, just a bit, I think its just a tad out of focus, even if thats intended, just a tad of fucus should be there, so my eye can rest on something.. other than that I am just looking for something to focus on..

But overall good dude! Nice piece..!

thanks RB...

this is my 2nd try at painting...

and yes the out of focus is intentional, impressionistic kinda...

I knew someone would notice that...

It is strawberry blonde with dk brown and black intermixed... they are braids... from a distance, it kinda looks almost green in some light...

that's my story, and I'm sticking to it...

Yeah, I figure it was immpressionistic, but my eye fails to find a spot to rest, because its a Digital painting it will be looked at from not far, so it needs a place you can rest your eye...

And the green hair, is nice, it gives the illusion of like a dirty blond or something, but its nice.. very immpressionistic move!

I just painted it digitally...

doesn't mean it has to be viewed digitally only...

Ahmed:

I wanted the blurry look. That is the style. Diff people see diff things in the same piece...

more of capturing the essence of the moment, not necessarily the image itself...

I usually print these out, hang them on my friend's refrigerator when they aren't looking (they have no kids)...

thanks.

I found the photo, thought of the style, and while making it thought of you...

I looked at a few apts. in that area, when I was living over there in '94... Lots of big bugs (http://jhanch.web2010.com/roach.ram) ...

I know....

I'm weird...

I think it comes from when I was working in photography, it can be such a sharp medium...

maybe it's just been 1 too many Grateful Dead shows...

I like it Rev. I love painter. Its a great program. I haven't had a chance to get into it like I want to because I'm too busy with work and everything.

I like the out of focus feel of it. :thumb: :)
