I know you like the silhoutte alot..but I think you should lose it and try to do something with the weapon that is in the hand of the guy/girl......what is this logo for again?? I am not sure what that silhouette is supposed to be....guy/girl/genie/warlock.....

This is Lord Shiva.

The logo is for a site on hinduism.

Lord shiva is in meditating posture, the "weapon" is his trident.

What do you suggest?

I changed it a bit, made the forky bit more centered...

yeah that is soooooo much better more concise and less guesswork...... everyone should always listen to me (j/k). BUt yes as stated before sometimes less is more. catch my drift. Remember as an artist the first thing you have to learn is when to put down the brushes. gj

Yes but i want to import it into my flash movie and apply cool glint effects ;)

do you have swift3d v3?? If so that would be the best way to get your chrome look.

ANd lead to immediate banned status.......(unless u send me 1 grand in small un marked bills just kidding). But I cannot help ya there. I bought my copy www.erain.com they gave my friend a trial copy after he begged and pleaded you can try. But they stopped after many bootleg copies showed up on kazaa.

how can you get a chrome look using swift v3?, i've applied the texture, but when rendering, it looks like a simple gray

Anyway, i just bought and installed Swift 3D V3 [any excuse to spend money]

If you don't wish to make the chrome effect for me, could be kind enough to tell me how to do it , now i have a copy of the program in question?

I can't find the tutorial for that dude.

All i want is the logo to be in 2 states.

1st will be the chrome logo. Like a jpeg still static image.

that i can put anywhere i want in my flash site.

second state will be animated logo with glint effects allover.



If i could apply the chrome effect in flash i would be laughing, the rest is easy.

Can you point me in the direction of the tutorial for applying a chrome effect please? I can't find it on their site on the list if tutes.

Also any ideas how to achieve what i want?

it is pretty good.....but it is not very convincing. I think you should go the chrome route. If you figure out swift and the chrome tut what you could do is. In flash import your image in make it a MC. Brighten it. Now make a layer above it. Drag another instance of your clip to it. And do a motion mask as you have done. What will happen I think is as your mask passes over your dull logo it will will show the bright one below giving you a glint.

I have not tried it but I think it will work. Play with diff masking techniques this is just a basic run through

I know it is only a drag and drop affair or something.

As for the masking...i will give it a go :thumb:
