I have a ATI Radeon X300 (http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonx300/specs.html). I'm wondering if this video card could handle this 22'' Acer LCD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094).

My graphics card's website does not list this LCD's optimal resolution, but does list resolutions much higher. Does this imply that I can't use this LCD?
Does my graphic card support dual monitors? My current 17'' monitor is using the blue connection. Will this new 22'' one be using the white connection?

There really shouldn't be a problem.

I'm confused by what the significance of listing out those resolutions on my video card's website is all about.

The ratio's probably... and yes it supports dual.

Do both monitors have to be Analog or both Digital for it to work though? He can do it, but if that's the case he needs to get a converter from DVI to Analog.

If you will doing something graphically intensive on both monitors at the same time, the X300 probably can't handle it that well. I have an X300 Mobility on one my laptops, and it feels a little sluggish when playing back video/animations while also displaying them to two 1920x1200 displays.

To display 2D (like your Windows desktops), your main limitation is the video ram, so something over 128MB would suit you well!

What's the difference between "2D" and "3D Resolution"?

Yes. Kirupa mentioned 2D resolution and my video card's site mentions a 3D resolution.

Think in terms of memory allocation needed. 2d you have to keep windows in memory 3d you have to keep textures ect...
