Ok im sure some of you will feel my anger. I am a contracting web master for a company which I will not name just in case :sigh: . The previous web master is out becasue of reasons I will not get into. Anywho, I am working on her computer and in her cubical. When I got here everything was a complete mess. The PC restarts itself when you look at it funny, because the hard drive is jammed with Vietnamese MP3's. So today I get an email from the old Web Master, who is returning shortly, stating that she dropped by last night for a visit. She cliams I broke her PC, and made a complete mess of her desk. That I have no respect for others personal belongings. I've never wanted to hurt soemone I've never met until now. This person also shut down my IIS so I can't test a huge project I am working on. Well I'm awaiting my bosses return from vacation to see what will go on.
Just venting I:-)

is she your boss? is she still working there? why are you on her PC?
I would just kick her in the teeth and get it over with... I don't take well to stupid people saying and doing stupid things...

O that sucks, since she's got some vietname music, replace them with some hard core American music, suggestivily rap, and replace the files with the same names.
Of course that'd be mean, but to treat this, see if you can talk to her face to face, appoligize if you want, otherwise, be calm and I'm sure it'll blow over in time and she can't do nothing about it.

Hmm, that's always a problem. I don't know what I would have said if I was in your situation. Just tell her that Vietnamese music makes you do horrible things to other people's computer :)

another fun thing to do is when she is standing with her back to you, get a running start and from about 6 or 7 feet away, jump up and kick her in the back of the head. Oh its great fun! She'll go flying! If she's a smaller girl too, she'll sail... try to do it near an open window!

I ones worked for a company, i was the team leader of web and multimedia unit and they had a manager on top of every team leader, he was F***** annoying, had no knowledge about web, software or even hardware, was a marketing fellow... we all wanted to torture him to death, he bugged us in every way possible, just to show who was the boss...
1 Day i decided to terminate that company's contract and he was again tryin to show wat he was (an a*hole) was not askin... but demanding me to stay as some cd presentation was on last stages, i got really mad and i started yelling at that jerk.. other team leaders came in and saw me yelling, dont know wat happend to our hardware guy, he jumped on him and punched his nose, later we all joined the party... he was in the bloddy mess, got kickd everywhere and i mean e v e r y w h e r e :P
after couple of days i came to kno that our software guy got another job in his hometown and hardware guy already opened his hardware store a week back, we had no clue but they all were there for same reason........... resignation, and i had my company up n running all the time.... i joined in... i still dont know why :-s

1.) Do your job better then she does
2.) Make sure the decision-maker sees this, or if you are unable to do your job better then her, lead the decision-maker to believe you can.
3.) Draw her into a conflict verbally (no paper trail) , then send her a carefully-worded, non-combative yet provocative e-mail in order to elicit an inappropriate response from her.
4.) Forward her response to the decision-maker.
5.) When the time is right, take her job. If you are a white male, and the decision-maker is a white male (or at least a male), you're already halfway there. Vietnamese girl has no chance. Sad but true.
Payback's a b!tch, and it hurts the most when you get hit in the wallet.

I hate that crap. But, there are plenty of scurvy dogs out there who won't hesitate to out-sneaky you, so it's better you than them, eh? Darwinism at work in Corporate America, you learn to swim or sink like a rock.
It's still dirty business, though.
That's why I want to work for myself.
And part of the reason I'm on this forum, to sharpen my Flash skills on the whetstone called "Kirupa".
That had a nice ring to it...

NO GOOD RAP?
Don't get me started...
Tribe Called Quest
Eric B and Rakim
Slick Rick
Kool Keith
old LL Cool J
Wu-Tang Clan
The Herbaliser
The Roots
Latyrx
Das Efx
OMG stop me now, I could go on for days.
You only say there's no good rap because you don't know no better, my son :goatee: . In time you will gain enlightenment. I used to say there was no good country, until I started listening to Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Hank Williams.
The only bad music is the sh!t you're sold on the radio, bub. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. ;)
If you're not rap-oriented, a good place to start would be something melodic like Tribe or De La Soul. Universally accessible themes, catchy melodies and nobody talking about killing nobody and stealing their "ice", more about that girl you like who don't want to talk to ya. You know that girl. So does De La.

i went on the office wid intentions to finish the contract, guess this hardware guy was looking for the chance and he got his chance i gues, it was funny man...... I still visit the directors of the company (they are outsourcing stuff from me now)and have seen this manager few times. They say he changed his ways after the beating he got from us... wich is ofcourse hard to belive, who cares anyway.

I admit, I liked rap once. But that was a long time ago and I try to put that behind me. Some old school rap is OK, but most of the new stuff just sounds horrible, and most of the lyrics don't make sense anymore.
Anyhow, at my work, my boss sends me hate mail a lot.
