Apple Grunge (not the computer)

I was laying in bed and thought of this for some reason.

what can i say? It's good! Hehe...can you tell me where have you found or if you can send me that texture of those bg lines that look like they were cut by a knife or a skalpel.

I like it, but the arrows at the bottom and the bar code at the top don't really belong there, in my opinion. I like the background a lot, is it a scan or is it done with PS?

Ya i think there problem is they are to dark yet. I'm going to lower the opacity and they shoud blend better. That or change the color. I kind of wanted them cause they are like the shapes you might see on a apple box.

They BG is made up of about 5 layers. One gradent, 2 brushes, and 2 filters. It realy isnt' made up of one texture. The lines them selves are jsut a filter.

this is great! I love the retro-feel of an old newspaper ad. At least that's what I think of looking at it. Only thing I'm not sure of
is the arrows. But the barcode is what brings me to the ad
comment.

Holy **** i ****ing did spell it worng. Mother **** i even double checked it to make sure i haden't. Even when i'm doing collage work dyslexia gets to it. Well i guess it is more of a personal touch.

It is to resemble like a old apple add. I cut the letters out from a bunch of differnt adds. The apple was jsut a picture of an apple and the bar code is a brush. i also applyed a damaged paper brush to give it kind of a crumpled up look.

With such a grungey type look to it maybe it is expected so your mind accepts it as correct. Still blows me away. I sware i double checked it.
