We are driving myself crazy on this one, we are trying to get the image to center on the web page, however on our screens it doesn't. Can you try it on yours
go to this site (http://bluewp.com/telfair)
and click on the tour tab. It is the tour page I am having the problem with.
Oh, and just so you know, this page and all the others are a long way from being finished yet. The 'Reasons to Purchase' has only one menu tab in it. The site is using projects that the training class in our company are working on.
Thanks for your help

What browsers are you using to test and which one is give you the problem?
The parent div has to have {margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;}

using opera, but not using a main div. Centering is done from the swf, not from HTML

Cool, thanks for the link. Does not help me in this instance as the images moves according to screen depth, height and resolution. The site you recommended only gives screen shots. But, really, a useful site

It's centered as long as the browser is large enough. Are you on a tiny screen or something?

Hmmm. Haam and Anogar, you both seem to have hit on the problem. The center of the image should remain in the center of your screen, no matter what size screen you use or how maximized or minimized your browser is. What are browser and version of, are you using. I would love to know this before we put the video overlay in the center of the screen.

okay, so when my screen is normal, it's off center - to the left i'd estimate 30-40 pixels.
when i maximize it's perfectly centered.
i'm on windows XP sp2 pro with firefox, most up to date version.

It's centering it, provided that there is room to do so, but you wouldn't want it to *always* center it, otherwise it'd be hiding some of the content from users with smaller screens, ya know?
The best solution in my opinion is to make the .swf itself fit just the content, not that big chunk of the background - I suspect that will fix the majority of the issues you're having. Browser and version don't matter, you're looking at a screen size issue. Your .swf is too wide, and you really don't want the browser to push the content somewhere that your users cannot see the buttons.

HOLD IT, you are looking at the home page. This is not the page I wanted you to look at, look at my first post, it is the Tour page. Can you test that one please

kirby on that browsershots page there are options to view different resolutions. It's a drop down on the front page titled "Screen Size". Select which size you wanna see, the browsers you wanna test and you should get the shots back for that particular resolution.
By the way once you request the shots you need to go back within 30 mins and renew your request.
and it centers fine on Opera (9), Firefox (2) and IE (6.0)
