Kirupa Styles

Do you have to be a mod to make a kirupa style? i know you guys don't take everything but i'd like to get something cookin

No you don't, I believe Aislin, fluid_0ne, and EthanM all have styles posted.

Don't have to be a mod. But just a suggestion, Kirupa has enough plain color styles. Add something to it like a graphic or something that makes it cool, like trogdor :) (it's already been done though).

Also, since we're on the subject of styles, I think rev's new one should be called winter instead of summer. Light blue just reminds me of snow more than it does summer. Summer should be all yellow's and red's and bright colors. Just my opinion though.

Just dl the zipped file. It's a template for the header and footer files. Be as creative as you like as long as all the features stay. Then let "Kirupa" know.

Oh yeah and, you can only edit the head/footer, but you can make suggestions as to colors and you can supply your own mini icons and say what they could be used for. Otherwise Kirupa will do it how he wants to do it :evil:

winter is coming... you will see my opinion on winter...

summer is blue... the sky in summer is blue, the water you play in is blue... If it were winter, there would be snow on the hill (it is Yosemite after all), or the guys wouldn't be paddling a dugout due to the cold...

summer isn't red and yellows... that is fall leaves... I already made one called spring that is yellow and green...

I think mine were about 18kb collectivley, so 20kb might be right. I just made them and pm'd Kirupa the url.

I have a suggestion

Maybe we can do a thumbnail of each style, so you dont have to apply and reapply to find the one i like.

that is a great suggestion, even i was getting annoyed with testing all the styles, the one i made wont work with the thumnail as it has sparkle effect so one would'nt know about it just by looking at the thumbnail, for others i think yes, nice one.

Looks pretty cool! The only problem is with the footer. A few of the links have a dark blue background to them, and the MT logo looks strange with the white background. Feel free to use another font for making the MT logo in text.

I'll add it up soon after those changes are made :)

sure i had these things in my mind, i was confused about the logo thingy too but now u v'e cleared it, i will make certain changes and again reload.

Not the color of all the links, but Basic and Tricks have an annoying blue background behind them. If it is intentional, don't worry about it :)

But yeah - that and the logo are the only main issues. Besides that it looks good :panda:

It will take a week or so soulty. My schedule is looking bleak for the next few days, but hopefully I will get to this in a reasonable amount of time. How about that for a noncommittal answer :)

Actually there are a lot of things that need to be done first such as a few tutorials and a total revamp of the kirupaLab to feature images from random, a lot of the battles, etc. You know - the typical stuff that designer-oriented sites have. Except, all of the content will be from the members who participated in battles or Random's "Where's Nali" or "Thor chasing 28" series.
