tell me what you think of my flash web site, is it hard to navigate, color.

i still have some things to add like a button when you move over it you get info on different projects. and a download pdf resume, and a arrow pointing at the page flip.

some images is moving around a little, i have to fix that also.

i would like to have the roll back motion when you move the cursor over the buttons, but i had problem doing that.

The begining transition with the boxes fliping around looks cheesy. The rest of the site needs more style. I like the print stuff, the "needle in the groove," use that style :thumb: .

I dislike that yellow/harvest gold color. The site is well made and well laid out I just don't like those colors.

I dont like the colours and the lined background hurts my eyes.

Its a decent site, hate the rollover sounds, the grey is very grey how about something darker?. to be honest I think the lined background mucks it all up. I think that is the probelm, but apart from that is a good working site which does what its meant to well, o and dont like the text on the buttons centred.

ok, i am using those colors because the match my logo, but that was something i was not sure of.

did you guys have any problems finding the small buttons at the bottom where the dark bar is?

sorry (and please dont ban me again, i'm just being honest) but the colours are terrible, the homepage buttons are bad, the lines dont work, the grey isn't dark enough. Please, start by changing the colours - probably to all dark grey or black.

The site has a very old look to it, the colors are bad, the rollover sounds are annoying, and I really don't know why its in flash. Also there is no page title, witch makes it seem extremely amateurish.

First impressions are the most important.

Yellow scanlines and two oddly placed icons didn't do it for me.

You should at least centre them, and chroma key the backgrounds outta the icons :)

well i am a amature! web design is not my field, just doing it because i think it is fun.

rollover sounds are fine i think, just personal taste. i guess i will change the background colors, i was not to sure about it when i did it. i just wanted someting other that a plain color.

ho do i get a page title?

and why not in flash?

" and chroma key the backgrounds outta the icons"

and what do you mean?

i will keep you update when i have fixed those problems, thanks again for your help.

Hey sprint. I think darkmotion intends to erase the white background from them. Also once done this in Photoshop (or other programs), be sure to put the image against a background which is not white to check if the outside lines are still visible.

it's an okay start, i mean. The circle logo in the start has pretty good shading.
i'm guesisng your photo shop skills are decent.

the intro might have taken a while to draw up and animate but it isn't really relative to your style. going from tech to smooth kinda doesn't work out

your rollovers are pretty "meh" could try to make them more interesting
colours would be good if implemented better,

might have been a better site if you made it in HTML instead of flash..

and those yellow scan lines against the Grey don't really work very well, it could just be me tho

the actual work u have inside the site are pretty nice ..

if u were offended about my critic i was just being straight forward so you can see other peoples opinions and only if you want maybe shape your work accordingly :) all the best.

ps:

i don't see how those print pieces were done with so much style and life and you've created this website that looks 10 years old.

did you actually DO that work in your portfolio?

so i am using all these diagonall lines to match my buisiness card and my resume. i just don't understand why any of you think it looks so old. i have had other web designers look at it, and they like - love it.

tell me how do i make it look like modern? to make it look like everyones else website?

i need something that show my graphic design skills.

show me your website so i can look at it to get some inspiration and guidence to how to make my website look modern.

thanks
