Actually, almost all of the Flash tutorials are copies from this site...even Phil's search engine submission section. Hehe, even the thanks page has been directly copied with some minor modifications :)

Let's see what his response to my e-mail is - maybe somebody else "claimed" to have done these tutorials but gave the host full rights to use them. It could have been like the previous scenario where the owner is oblivious to the content....though I strongly doubt it in this case.

If the response isn't great or if I don't get any response, then we can discuss what to do :skull:

Yeah, I'm pretty ticked of as well. Getting the design copied is one thing, but actually copying information verbatim from the site, making a few minor cosmetic modifications to make it look "original", etc. really annoys me.

I couldn't help but notice the number of people that have signed your guestbook, to say what great tutorials you have on your site, and how helpful they are.

You know what? I couldn't agree more.

Shame you never wrote them really, isn't it?

Aside from ripping off two of my own tutes on drawing and animation, as far as I can tell, every other guide in that site is an exact copy of one of the ones on Kirupa.com. Many of these people are my friends, have put a great deal of effort and thought into writing the tutes, and I have a large amount of respect for them, which is more than can be said for you.

To claim that you have written all of these, and then have the sheer audacity to take the credit and tell people to take the source code since nothing is copyrighted and all belongs to you, is beyond belief. What the hell were you thinking? That we wouldn't notice?!?

We have noticed. And we are not a happy group.

Now I suggest that you remove all of the work on here that was done by us, go out and buy a book on Flash, read it, then come up with something of your own.

form a band, contact all those people and make them aware, then get all the signatures on paper and send it to GG, get her name and stuff and MAIL post not email to her then saying you will sue if she doesnt change. that will get it down fast, 4+ law suits for copyright infringment. you get the image.

In the netherlands there's an author, Tim Krabbé called, and he was writing chess curiosities. Perhaps some of you know him. He had a site, one of the most visited in holland. And suddenly he saw a site who was ripping off all his articles. He mailed that loser. And you know what he said? He said he was going to copy all his website and add an copyright.

That was one of the worst days for all the chess freaks in the netherlands. Tim Krabbé has then deleted his site... He didn't wanted that loser to copy everything. Thousend of chess freaks still regret it.

It's a bit a similir story, at least the beginning. So let's hope that GG is not like that... :stunned: ;(
