New logo, seek your opinions

The owners would like a very simple logo. This is what I created.

I really don't get what it's supposed to represent at all.

The gradient is super harsh, and the colours are not working well with each other. The feint outlines don't help it (ditch them), and the 'shadow' under the text doesn't make any sense- because it's being projected on a really weird plane.

The lightning bolt (?) is waay too distorted, and the form is really undefined.


What is it supposed to be for?

Sorry to sound so harsh, but I think it doesn't do anything as a logo.

sorry but i just don't like it either, from element composition to the colors. you could do better dude:D
what's it for anyway? a club? company? if so, what's the main purpose? focus on that;)
