Hi All,

I saw this thread over at UltraShock and thought it was interesting enough to pass on the info. Perhpas some have seen it already at the Adobe Labs in the Air Showcase (http://labs.adobe.com/showcase/air/). (or maybe someone has already posted somewhere here at the forums regarding this). Anyway.....

Google Analytics AIR beta: Sign-up (http://www.aboutnico.be/index.php/google-analytics-air-beta-sign-up/) | Download (http://www.aboutnico.be/index.php/downloads/) | Further Links (http://labs.boulevart.be/index.php/2007/09/26/google-analytics-hitting-the-charts/) | UltraShock Thread (http://forums.ultrashock.com/ff.htm?http://forums.ultrashock.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=90041)

The Google Analytics Reporting suite is an Adobe AIR application that brings Google Analytics to the desktop. It uses it’s own custom API to interact with Google and nearly implements all features of Analytics. See the feature list for more info.

It seems to be a pretty polished app even in beta. Might be interesting to some, the best thing is that Nico states in the UltraShock Thread that it will remain FREE even after Beta, so it maybe a tool that could be helpful to some people.

Again remember its Beta.

What version of the Air Platform do i need to download to install it anyway?
It's saying it is no longer supported by my version of Air....I installed the Beta 2 Version which should be the latest. correct?

Cheers,
George

it looks great. I like the tabs, map overlay (using Google maps) anchor points, the way of data range selection. :king:

Hey minthu or anybody how did you guys manage to install this? and on what platform of the AIR.

Are you using Air Beta 2 or Beta 1? I keep getting the error as tries to initiate the install. See below for the error:

"Installation Error:

This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported. Please contact the application author for an updated version."

What the? I'm running the latest version of AIR though?? Has anybody else had this problem??

Cheers,
George :D hope someone can help me out.

"Installation Error"

Hi Flashman looks like someone else is having the same issue | link (http://www.aboutnico.be/index.php/2007/09/22/google-analytics-air-big-in-japan-and-china/) | Look at the bottom post by Johan, October 2nd, 2007. I am suprised it would have such problems as it was demod at "Adobe MAX Chicago keynote (http://www.aboutnico.be/index.php/2007/10/01/adobe-max-chicago-keynote/)" seems like if there were any such issues it would be now resolved.

I would suggest contacting the author for such issues, since it is BETA, these are the types of issues that need resolved and brought the attention of the developer. It might be a persistant issue and need fixed as an update to the Beta, I would say contact him and see what happens.

i apologize as i havent read the whole thread entirely and the links that were provided in entirety as i'm kind of in a rush to get out of the house, but just thought i'd point out that prg9 makes a good point about telling the developer as i know i saw a post by senocular yesterday or two days ago stating that he needs to update his new AIR tutorials as they don't function the same way they did in beta1. just a thought.

Yesterday, I was using it with AIR beta 1 but just now I updated to AIR beta 2. So far so good. I just had one error message yesterday yet it still can continue running.

I am using Win XP Pro SP2.

Hmm yeh that's the thing on my mac i installed it correctly using beta 1 so i think updating once you have it installed it will continue working.

Also i have left a post on there website letting the developer know of this problem. Might be the one you saw in the link posted above.

Cheers,
I will try some other things in the meantime though and see how we go.

thanks again :)
