I'm gonna draw a few of these guys since they look pretty cool. Here's one to start off, it's the black mage Lulu. :)

moogles are so cute  i remember the choco/mog summon from FF7, and i was really .... scared... the first time i saw it, it was so big and pink and ... yeah

anyway, that's an awesome drawing, i hope you do yuna soon too cos her costume is pretty funky

the FF characters always had strange clothes... and some obsession with heaps of belts

i think you should start drawing the aeons, they're the coolest :P
Have any of you guys beat the entire game? beating the dark aeons? and the monster training thingy?

Kitiara
July 6th, 2003, 07:39 AM
As it so happens, I have a Yuna finished right now. :)

Oh, good idea on the aeons, btw. I think I might try Shiva... :beam:

kit did u skecth and scan or draw on pc?

Kitiara
July 6th, 2003, 02:57 PM
Generally I draw on paper first then scan in. I do the outlines in Illustrator and colour with Photoshop. :)

In these instances though, I didn't bother drawing on paper first, I used some of my previous drawings as bases then modified the pose and features etc. :)

VisualAid
July 6th, 2003, 03:04 PM
i really like all your drawings.

I used to scan and colour but when i upgraded to xp my scanner refused it so i am stuck with a scanner that doesnt work, lots of sketches mostly un-coloured :( . No $$ for a new skanner so i am messed :P

Very sneaky Kit, but hey it works so its fine with me... No more malformed hands and feet... :)

Kitiara

Still malformed, but just less so than before. :P

I'm working on a Shiva right now... :) She's awkward. No real good images to go from, having to use memory. :stunned: :P

Kitiara
July 6th, 2003, 05:29 PM
If you're really good at drawing freehand then you can always do that. Wacom's help a lot there. :) But I don't have one at home, so it's scan for me too... :)

July 6th, 2003, 05:32 PM
wat do you mean by a [ Wacom's ] ? Kit

Kitiara
July 6th, 2003, 05:35 PM
Graphics tablets. Wacom is the best make really. :)

They make drawing things like this so much easier if you have the hang of using them. :)

Starpromo
July 6th, 2003, 05:55 PM
Theres a nak to using them and sadly i haven't found it yet... Maybe i need to learn to draw first.

there have been a few discussions on tablets recently replode... you could do a search in the drawing and design forum, and go to ebay and also the wacom sites (www.wacom.com for america)

i think generally you can get a decent used one for under $US 100 but i'm really not sure

yeah...

They're about £80 for a good one in my money. :)

They are a little strange to use to start with, even though it's just like drawing with a pencil. The troule is that insterad fo having the whole sheet of paper to draw on, you've got about4 x 3 inches square to draw on physically, but the whole page on screen...

So it takes a while to co-ordinate what your hand is doing with what your eye is seeing. I find that the trick is not to look at your hand, but the screen instead...

I did not like Final Fantasy, but you made me love it :)

How long did u use to creat these drawings kit ?

Kitiara
July 7th, 2003, 05:57 AM
Yuna took about an hour to do from start to finish, but Lulu was two hours, as she was a lot more complicated. :)

The Shiva I'm working on is going to be closer to three.

Well, I've completely beaten VII. Inside out, the whole lot. Every Summon, Spell, every secret area, plus Emerald and Ruby Weapons. :)

VIII I've completed, but I don't think I managed to get all the extra bits, just most of them. Same for IX.

X I've done through once, now going back for the secret areas.

Also in the middle of the early ones, which I've found on PS1... :)

Oh, and Shiva will be up later tonight. :)

July 7th, 2003, 08:58 AM
ooh how nice!

Kit: Ill bet you are going to have problems with the dark aeons.
They all do 99999 damage, I had to use Yojimbo to kill em. But those 3 kids (the final aeons) are pretty much unbeatable, b/c they are 3 and they do their ultimate spell, and yes it does like 15 x 99999 damage.... hehe

i pretty much did everything for VII, but i couldn't be stuffed mastering KotR materia to get the Master Summon materia , which i think you kinda need to beat the weapons...

VIII was less fun, so i didn't spend as long, but i collected all the cards =)

IX i only played through once because i borrowed it off a friend, but it was pretty cool

haven't played X yet because i haven't got a PS2 :( but i know a bit about it

can't wait to see the shiva, she always looked cool

Kitiara
July 7th, 2003, 09:29 AM
Yeah, you do kind of need KotR mastered to beat Ruby... You need everything mastered to beat Ruby, frankly. :P It takes out two of your characters regardless... It depends on who you get left I suppose. I beat it with Vincent, since my Vincent was better than my Cloud by that point. It's just a question of getting the right Materia linked in the weapon and armour that will let you survive long enough to kill it... :)

Starpromo

Id rather it be Danger Mouse but i just get the feeling it was very Cameron orientated...

Shame really.
