The instruction/installation manual can say what those beeps mean. That's where my expertise ends.

Hmm, power supply issue maybe? I know that your previous problem(s) may not have been that, but this might be the one =) Try removing your sound card or something else and see if the problem gets solved. If not, then it could be something with the motherboard/bios...though I am not sure though.

you may be having a conflict with and external device... unplug everything but your monitor and keyboard, then see if you still get the beep...

What was plugged in @ the shop, where it didn't make the noise?

try that same exact set up.

have you tried checking the connection from monitor to video card?
have you taken out your old video card?
if you have on board video, you must disable that, have you?
If it says AGP on the box, did you put it in the AGP slot?
install your old video card and see if it still beeps, if it doesn't, it may be the new video card.

http://www.beemerworld.com/tips/beepcodes.htm

i was sent there from tech tv and they all say its the video card, and someone from techtv also bets that it just got loose from transporting it from the store to the house so i am gonna go with that.

@kirupa: hehe the last problem i had was a pwoersupply too? =) lol thanks a lot guys!

i know it's too late now, but you probably just needed to reseat the video card...in other words, just pull it out and plug it back in! those things used to beep at me all the time when I worked in the computer shop.

working on a computer can be quite intimidating at first but you'll pick it up very quickly...doing things like installing your video card on your own can save you a lot of money (the place I used to work would charge like $45 to put in a video card--it took like 5 minutes). the thing that surprised me the most was that the computer parts really weren't that fragile and you would almost have to be trying to mess something up.

good luck :)
