what powers www.ign.com I don't understand how they do it. How could they update their page? Do they use some engine or something?

looks to me like its all dynamic. Same templates moslikely but they just change a little text here or there. Really not to hard if you think about it. OR you could just use a blogger like PHP-Nuke ;)

they would have some kind of a content management system (aka CMS).. you can either make your own with php or some kind of a serverside language, or maybe get a premade one.. like the ones dipi metioned
