mouseWheel

Hey Guys,
Does anyone know if you can use the mouse wheel to call 2 different functions?
I have a dynamic/interactive map that I want people to be able to zoom in and out based on which direction they are moving the mouse wheel.

Could someone let me know if it is even possible and if so can you point me in a direction for pulling it off?
