I am making an image to send through the email. What is the standard size for emails?
Thanks,
Ashley

there is no standard size for emails, often people dont view emails as full screen. But if they did the minimum screen resolution is 800x600pixels so i would consider that as the standard size - unless it doesnt matter if some of the image gets cut off from the user viewing it on a smaller screen.

Just assume it's for the web, and work with standard resolutions.
1024x768 is the standard.

Thanks. I just wasn't sure since people would not be viewing at fullsize.

uhmmm... I agree with beefy butcher the lowest common denominator is the best way
Height is not much of a problem, but the silly concept of above the fold makes sense to some degree— try to keep your important elements in the top area or just use anchor tags to allow the user to jump seamlessly to the right content area if you anticipate a long e-mail
600 width is the best
gmail, hotmail, outlook, etc. doesn't matter what their resolution is with the elements of the email browser crowding it-- 600 is the min. and you will allows win with that
especially if they don't expand their email browser to full screen
