why does my client have to type www. ??

Hi all, I'm not a professional web designer, but I do small websites for friends and artists, and one of the sites i created is having a wierd issue, where people can't get there just by going to benrowlandphotography.com , they have to go to www.benrowlandphotography.com . Any ideas why this would be the case? thanks

it's the hosts server setup

www normally references a folder on the server if on linux.

This could be a folder called www, htdocs or web
