Nelly Furtado - Loose

1 The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
2 Led Zeppelin - IV
3 Sublime - 40oz to Freedom
4 Pappa Roach - Infest
5 Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon

I can't stand rap, and really the only reason I like Pappa Roach's first album is because it was my frist album I ever got.

MTsoul, timbaland's shock value seems to be all over the place musically, I think he suffers from that whole "I can be great for you but not for me" stigma.

5 albums is so hard to choose. I could give 5 albums for every genre and for every era, but this group I would listen to at anytime.

1. Metallica - "...And Justice For All"
2. Fear Factory - "Obsolete"
3. Machine Head - "The Blackening"
4. Pantera - "Vulgar Display Of Power"
5. Hatebreed - "Perseverance"

anyway top 5 albums....now!!

Well, I'm never really able to do stuff like this. Best 5, ever? Damn, I can hardly remember. I think the best 5 would be the ones me and my girlfriend used to listen to together (queue soppy music) and then some general favs.

In no specific order (that's just too hard),
Pulp Fiction soundtrack
Dirty Dancing soundtrack
Blues Brothers soundtrack
Fatboy Slim - You've come a long way, baby
Michael Jackson - Number Ones I know you're all guilt of it too

Some other awesome albums, imo:
Van Halen - The very best of both worlds
Rush Chronicles
Stephen Lynch - All
Prodigy
Green Day - Dookie (though International Superhits really summed up their awesome career before turning gay)

I'm a real sucker for "best of"'s, huh?

localZero
September 11th, 2007, 06:08 AM
Lagwagon - Double Plaidinum
GreenDay - Dookie
Bad Religion - Generator
Weezer - Blue album
Nofx - White trash, Two heebs and a bean

+50 more albums that I would like to list here :D

U must be the first one I've heard to say that green album is better than the blue...I had difficulties to choose between blue and Pinkerton. The Blue album brings back so many good memories, that's why I had to choose it :)

I think the green album and the blue album are of a kind, and that Pinkerton and Maladroit are similar as well. Not sure quite what it is, but that's what I think. Maybe because the green and blue are stuffed with radio friendly tracks, while Pinkerton and Maladroit are a bit more raw.

Not sure where Make Believe slots in...

I suspect I'm probably showing my age with this selection, but here goes:

Freak Out - Frank Zappa (The album that made the Beatles record Sergeant Pepper!)
Guitar - Frank Zappa (if you ever want to hear how the guitar should really be played, this album of guitar solo's should be in your collection)
Irish Tour - Rory Gallagher (one of the finest renditions of live blues guitar you're ever likely to hear)
Next - The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (anarchic, absurd and yet wonderfully sublime. And one of the best live acts there's ever been)
What You See Is What You Are - Here & Now Band/ATV (This always makes me smile whenever I see the reference to Honeybunch Kominski-dog (http://www.herenow.be/herenowpages/hn1978a.htm) in the credits. And the music is damn good too although I might be biased having been there when it was recorded)
