Prizes, Battles and free stuff

I was just clicking through the rules of the footer contest and noticed that there were only two prizes for the whole diddy.

I really liked the idea of having contests for stuff. Perhaps because I am cheap and like to get free things.

Maybe we could do more contests against the crew here but donate things we have kicing around that other people might want?

I know that I have a buttload of things from unused tape drives to extra PS2 power cables and just stuff like that.

We could just do it ebay style and ship it off to the winners....

Maybe its not so hot of an idea. Actually the more I type here the more holes I am starting to see in my plan.

I am going to post this anyway.

A couple friends and myself have opened a company - we do web design, graphics, software design etc. So - the way to get over shipping is to offer programs downloadable via the net - I would be very happy to sponsor any contest with a few progs (note that they are not yet made - would need some ideas on what would be considered useful) all I ask in return is a little exposure. I hope you will consider this.

Shipping is usually worth more than the actual prize. That's why the top 3 prizes will be the really cool Zoomifyer program, and I'll be shipping the remaining two prizes via Amazon.com for those living only in the US. Paypal/check for those elsewhere.

Shipping overseas is really expensive :(
