Hello everyone!
First of all I have to say that this Forum is the heaven for all us designer who doesn't know how the heck coding works. Thanks to all the wonderful tutorials and examples(especially scotty's and kirupa's), I was able to put apply what I have learned here for my current project.
http://www.snitzer.com (http://www.snitzer.com) <-- This is a Beta version of the website, I have figured out most of the functionalities by studying the tutorials and was able to modify for my need.
I am still waiting for materials, so the Current and alot of the Artists' gallery are not available at this moment.
Thanks to Scotty's resize galleries, it goes with the rest of the animations very well. I just couldn't figured out how to apply lacotweens...
Also thanks to kirupa's hover caption tutorial, I managed to add totally 3 lines of captions when mouse rollovers, but I can't figured out how to set the caption background's length to the longest length out of the 3 captions
There are two things I just can't make it working...
1. Can't make the text field to auto scroll when Rollover or Press, have tried different tutorials I found here, but none of them work...
2. On my "Client Login" button, I tried to add Keyboard "Enter Key" function with the code from the tutorial, but they are just not working either...
Please let me know what you think of it ok? :P
And if you know any solution to the problems that I have, please help !!

You're doing really well, congrats.
One thing, I feel that a little splash of colour would go very well with the grey design, perhaps make the menu words a nice blue or perhaps orange.

I like this a lot... clean. a coupla issues:bounce:- first off, (which i think is kind of a biggie) the thing doesn't scale well- I have to scroll unless my browser is maximized, and it's not really clear what I'm scrolling to.
the mimimalism of the lineart sitemap thing is great, but it's not at all obvious that it does stuff, particularly when the "fold" comes in the middle of it. (there's an awful lot of space between it and the menubar.) preloader for the images would be nice.
all considered- this is elegant, tasteful: nice.

when the images resize, the current image that you are on, it goes blank and then you wait for the other one to reload, when the last image goes blank, it should fade out like how it fades in

Thanks for all the replies, it really give me positive energy to continue learning flash.
salvador: The idea of the website is to resemble the actual gallery in the virtual space, that's why I only use the color they have on the building. I like the orange color idea for the menu too, it could represent the light source of the building.
azdak: About scaling, do you mean the page is too big for your monitor? Sorry for the inconvenience, I have set the page size as 925 x 650px and thought it would be good enough.(isn't 800x600 too small for today's common LCD monitor?) What is the "fold" you referred to? Do you mean the Past or the Artists section since they have more space between the menubar. I am still trying to add the preload to the images in the artists section, somehow they are not working atm. And the big space in the Past section is gonna fill up with more thumbnail soon, and it will become a scrollpane when the collage is bigger than the space. Thanks for pointing that out.
ajcates: Good point! I didn't realized the missing fade out function. Let me study more and see how to apply it...

yeah- I'm 1280x800 and I can't view the menu and the sitemap thingy at the same time w/ maximized browser.... (the fold is the bottom of the page as viewed on load i.e. with the menubar scrolled up)

I like your functionality, but as a designer I have to say some thing...
you need a lighter weight of font for your headings this way it works with your drawing line function and get rid of the false italic, it looks amateurish
false italics are used for expressions in copy not for heirarchial design tool
but keep it up

Absolutely love it!
Am a beginner myself - and am actually looking to do something similar. Should you feel like sharing a bit of FLA it would be appreciated (but understandable if not)

i think it'd be awesome if you would offer larger versions of each image so you can really see details.
that current gallery with the car crash paintings is awesome, that guy is an amazing painter.

Thanks for reply guys~
wes_design: Yep I too feel that the Headings' a bit too heavy, I will play around with the font size and see. The Typeface has to stay since that's the typeface of the gallery. I don't like false italics too, but for some reason Hevertica Neue Light Italic doesn't show up in flash. :(
Kimserøv: What function you want to learn? most of the functions and AS in this website are the result of studying tutorials from Kirupa. You should check out especially the "Scotty's resize galleries post" and "kirupa's hover caption & picture gallery tutorials." I learned alot from them, they are awesome!
Haam: There are bigger images in the website, but they are only for the clients with password to look at...
