site check- band site

Hey everyone, I met a band at a show we played a while back and since and i offered to do a site for them.

heres the deal, they want flash and want it updatable. i find this makes it a little more tough to design because i dont have solid content it is always changing.


here is what i created so far, i am still undecided.... i like the interface but i am trying to combine kinda a nucleur wasteland feel mixed with futuristic. However, I think it is getting a little cheesy and I don't want to continue in that direction ;)

It is still very rough, not too big on the sounds, the preloader page bg doesn't match...crap like that.

But if anyone has any advice as far as transitions, etc.... anything... let me know it would be very appreciated. And in return I will let you bookmark my site so you can view it whenever you'd like... hahah...

well, since all i can see is the first page, i'll critique that. i like the navigation a lot, but the welcome message in the center of the page really doesnt need a scrollbar, and the scrollbar seems out of place. i'd like to see the other sections, so far nice work.:)

thanx for the reply, yeah the first page is the only one started.
i hate the scroll bars to but the problem is it is all updatable. So if they have more text the scroll bar is needed. plus thos side buttons "news" "announcements" load into the same text box and they need the scroll.

But i really hate the look of that scroll to..i'll have to do something else about that....you are right...

I'm commenting on the band site.

Looks pretty good.. I dunno about the sounds, what kind of band is this? Those roll over sounds are kind of "high-tech" if you get what I mean.

And that news thing is a little ugly. It might look better if you give it some more frames to slide in with [ie. Its jerky animation] or maybe thats be cause of your frame rate.

P.S. I'm not sure but did I see some Times New Roman? Maybe you didn't embed a font - or maybe its my eyes, lol.
