This is a logo for a college campus dining location called sips & soups.

the idea is creative but i dont know if the implementation is well enough
the two gradients, top and bottom are distracting me for some reason, can you repost w/o them? i dont feel like the colors are suited well, may be u should try some other color combos

I'll probably try some different combo's... any suggestions? more of a yellow or orange instead of green maybe?

I like the *idea* for the 'i' in Sips but for me it doesn't look like an I, Im not sure why but maybe play around with the shape of the glass and make it thinner in the center

I think the glass would look more like an 'i' if all of its lines were the same color. I like the rest of it as far as basic design, but I agree that the overall color scheme could be a little better.

Usually "refreshing" light blue and green bring to mind beverages, while yellow, orange, and red tend to make people more hungry. Maybe try finding a good combination of the two?

I think that the colors are pretty good actually; maybe the background just needs to be a different color. also, if the letters are going to be relatively large, so ppl can read them, then maybe putting a bolder shadow on them would help.

That's better than the cheesy food court logos my college had at any rate. This one has good personality.

mmm not diggin the colors, too dead I think...it needs more vivid colors for what it is, more vibrant, perhpas try with an orange in "sips" and a complementary color for soups to create more contrast

The type doesn't read too well at all. The "s"'s look like "8"'s

I like it, but again I like green and blue...
soups tend to taste better with some red and orange
also open up the bowl and space with the "s" so they don't look like 8's

nice straw and cup

Ampersand needs some work

I wonder, how you gonna reproduce it on a business card or a corporate pen, for example? Your logo is very complex + the font is ugly.

I think you shoud try to play around with some Fonts and Color variations
