Hi,

i recently got swift 3d v3, and i can do many basic things, however, i dont seem to be able to animate an extrusion.

ie. i have flat text which i want to extrude over 20 frames. this animation will be dropped into a flash site that will be triggered by a roll over. i want the text to extrude up.

it seems like it should be simple to me, but i just cant get it to work, as whenever i change the amout of the extrusion, it changes globally, not frame by frame.

Thanks for any help!!!

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. You want to animate text?

Oh yes, now I understand.

You could set the depth of the text 0, then it should work, ofcourse you don't have any depth anymore then...

Wait a sec and I'l search more deeply..:)

Oops, made a writing mistake

Alright, I guess that's the only way...

Right,

but when i animate it changes the depth of the text globally across all frames.

i want the depth to change from 0 to 2 over 20 frames.

looks like you will have to gradually increase the text depth yourself and produce an individual image for each increase. Then import the images into flash and combine them.

can't think of any other way, sorry!
