If you are trying to make one in a true 3d proggy like max or maya your best best is to go www.3dbuzz.com or www.cgtalk.com . On buzz go to their tuts section and search for organic modelling or polymodelling. If you have plasma they actually have a tut on this inside the help files. Matter of fact check the help files of whatever proggy you are using. If you want to make a 3d interface using ps7 or a 2d proggy look at the sticky post above this one.

I wouldn't know how to do it in any other 3d app.
Yeah it doens't look too 3d because it's just beveled cubes, and the image was captured in the front view.
It's easy to create. just model your interface, and the easiest way to get that white chrome look is to download a chrome shader for maya, then go into the file that's attatched to the reflected color, then adjust the v-ramp attribute so that the color white is almost completely covering the ramp. Or if you have any other 3d app change the color and mess around with it's specular shading (eccentricity, reflectivity, reflected color...)

i could make a simple tutorial, but it wouldnt be great :/ it will be in cinema4d and will be modelling a basic 3d interface.
Covers:-
1.Spline Modelling
2.Nurb Lofting
3.Nurb Extrusion
4.Symmetry
5.Applying Materials
6.Rendering
6.Importing Into Flash
7.Slicing up in Flash (or Photoshop)
Will that cover it you reckon?
