Drafting

well my dad is an architect and uses one of those new macs, and powerCAD, which is like the mac version of autoCAD. but slightly more simple. i was wondering what the best drafting software OTHER than autoCAD is for pc.

i think alias is rather for creating movies full of pretty colors and stuff. What's great with autocad is that it's perfect for architecture, specially built for plans, it's used for creating 3d version of tools and anything - much better than 3d apps for creating objects from 2d sketches...

im sorry though i've always heard good things for AutoCad and it's the only good architecture tool i know of
