Check this out People. I was just playing around with photoshop and made this - no 3d programs involved!

No 3d program? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?
...
Its not bad but there should be a reflection of the bottom of the controller and the shadow on the bottom is too much for a reflective surface. The A & the B buttons don't look right and "Play" is very hard to see. The controller itself could use some subtle reflections, it is plastic.

I don't like that I can see the horizon line—and the points on which your retro gray bars meet. I feel this would be more effective if the CONTROLLER was hiding this.
Currently my EYE is drawn to the horizon line where these points meet, INSTEAD of the controller. Currently the controller is NOT the focal point.
Secondly, turn the opacity of the shadow on the PLAY button way down. It's distracting and not believable.
Try eliminating the PLAY shadow all together, and turning the word PLAY orange—OR red, to match the rest of the controllers color scheme.

Fixed the problems, looks good now, The red looks a bit too rich though

Looks good—now you need to do what seems like every designer and their mother are doing—ADD SOME TOTALLY sweet organic FLORAL treatments coming out from behind the controller.
:/ please do not do this. HAHA

Give the poor guy a break guys! :p
I think the idea is great it just needs a bit more tweaking. The background sunburst may be pretty outplayed, but it still works nice in some occasions. The sunburst in this image needs to be more rounded instead of just looking like it had two halves cut together and mirrored.
To a little bit more of nitpicky areas, I can see what people are saying about adding the gloss, but be careful not to loose that soft look you have going. The start and select buttons look strange, I can't quite put my finger on it but it doesn't feel like the original start/select. The play at the bottom just doesn't feel right either. Perhaps try a different font. The only thing that really bothers me is that weren't the buttons concaved on the original controller?
It's come good work though, and with a little more work it would make a nice defined wallpaper!

I'm definitely feeling the sunburst background a lot more now. Going more subtle was definitely the way to go with that.
