never seen a .com.au before.

I really like the site man, one thing to probably add though is an auto center so that what ever section is nearest the middle it will smoothly slide the rest of the way for the user, other than that excellent work.

I think the whole thing at first glance looks a little confusing and here is why:

* my screen is pretty crappy and I couldn't see the scroll bar at first at the bottom of your page.
* the page needs a welcome screen before you begin to scroll right into your work. You have the intro paragraph but you can already see your first project to the right, it makes it looks sloppy (IMO). Maybe something that will say "scrollbar below to cycle through work, blah blah blah" or a little help feature that first time users can use.
* the light up is very touchy while your scrolling

Besides all that, it seems like you were going for an uncomplicated look and I think your almost there. just a few more tweaks.

For serial!?

Pretty much all Australian businesses buy them. Then again, America thinks we are in texas or something.. hahah.

Very laggy for me ...
Pentium Core 2 Duo
2 Gig RAM
nVidia Quadro FX 550

Why is the whole site seemingly so dark?

Runs fine here, looks good too and I like the concept, especially the brightening when items are focussed.

I reckon it could be taken further though, making more use of flash itself, as I think the entire thing could be done in HTML - so why choose flash? But thats just opinion, the site's nice.

Didn't lag for me...

built_by said everything I wanted to say. Anyways, I like the site very much, but I had a very hard time finding the scrollbar (it's probably just me, because I keep contrast and brightness very low).

Runs well here. I noticed the scroll bar right away (it flashed at me!) - and everything performed flawlessly. It's a clean and professional feeling site, I'm very impressed.

Its a beautiful site. Its not often that I've seen a horizontally scrolling site. I think its quite innovative and well laid out. :beam:
