Hi all,
Been beating my head against the wall on this one. I gotta step back and let someone else look at it. My idea is to use foil around the logo. After many layouts this is the ones that i like the best. Please give me your opinions and/or suggestions:

Updated Card
Thanks for all of your inputs.
Here is the updated card. I decided to add a backside print to the design. What do you think:

Its a fairly expensive process to print the foil, so I am relying on your input. I don't want to waste money if the card looks stupid... or other wise...
Thank you in advance,

B seems like your best bet. Though, how small is that type?
Is the background with the greyed out text going to print or is that a varnish underneath the foil?

I kinda like B here...assuming that blue part is going to be foil yeah.

The only part that is foiled it the square block with the logo. the background is 10% pantone color on white so to give off a ghost effect.
The type is 10pt. I have already printed some out and passed it around and it is readable at that size.
Thank you

I also like B. The foil part is what looks best - you may want to work a little more on the plain rounded-corner rectangle with the text in it though, I don't think it fits quite well enough with the rest.

Oh yea, B, definitely! I like it a lot :)
It's as if C were your card 8 years ago. A is an improvement 4 ago later and B is the one you've done now
C is obviously too "boring"/plain with the standard straight line thing. I'm not saying it's ugly, but compared to the others it just don't work.
A, I feel, is more of a variation of C. It's taken a bit further with the diagonal which makes it much more interesting, but it's still square/boring compared to B.
B is really nice because of the diagonal and also the use of rounded edges works really well. The way you've made separate "boxes" for the logo and info is also nice. It's like a hip version of C :thumb:

B.
It's well balanced, and doesn't look ye old slap-a-diagonal-marquee-on-something-and-call-it-a-design-element type of thing.
Will be interested to see that with that foil applied to it.

Way too heavy for the back.

Back B is better - maybe try isolating the car photo on white, I think it would help better maintain the "open" feeling it has on the front.

yah? .... ok!
now you see my dilemma!
I want to show design on one side of the card and photography on the other side. I am scrambling to find another picture to depict that.
will put up some in a few...
thanks again

Agreed. Design B was great, but the photo kind of ruins it. Back B is definitely better than A, but honestly I don't think either do the design you have on the front any justice.

It's getting worse. Take a break.
Three things I think would help:
1. Keep the front background very simple, perhaps a solid color.
2. On the back, put a large version of your logo, large enough that the edges are chopped off and it's almost an abstract shape.
3. While you're getting expensive printing options, I'd die cut the edges to round them out, I think that'd look nice.

try isolating the car photo [from Back B] on white

We all get there. :) Sometimes you just have to step back for a while and come back. Luckily, it doesn't seem that there is a hard deadline breathing down your neck, so just taking some space is the right thing to do.

I am totally lost on how I am going to show design and photography on the same bcard.why dont you leave that to the resume, i dont think thats the business cards job. people arent look at that card when they want to see some cool photography, they're gonna look at that card when they see your resume and forget your number.

Back A and Back C You can see the reflections of the 'parking garage' or the ambience of Back B. I'd used Back B because it looks the most realistic
