I'm nearly finished developing a site for an IT company. It is currently just hosted on my domain and not quite done yet.

http://www.multimedia-technologies.com/clientsites/mytech/index.php

I have to finish up some links and the about page for the support staff. What do you think overall? The web portfolio is actually mine because I will be getting that work subcontracted to me.

It's got that generic web-hosting feel going on. I'm sure that's what they asked for, so I guess it works. Not original at all but well executed.

The top menu text is fugly though, work on that.

Pretty nice, the rollovers are hard to see, I don't see the point of numbering the navigation. just wondering did you get permission to use the black berry image? The logo looks really close to aol, Overall nice job, I like the look and feel. Have you gotten any feedback from the client yet?

Very nice clean site. Great colors and sharp images.

Yea, AOL's logo is rotated a little more and theres an okay difference between the two (if they were black and white there isn't though).

Certain parts of this site remind me of 2advanced elements.

love the colors, but the nav fonts are UGLY. choose a thinner font.

I like it, but the footer is just like a big ugly foot. Almost appropriately, but none-too-nicely

I agree with nobody (who was once snorkel) it's a run of the mill, painted by numbers web hosting company. No doubt what they requested but it would have been nice to see something a little different.

Maybe some colours that don't fall under the corporate banner. Maybe a cool logo. Something. It's not your fault, this is what your clients wanted and you've just supplied what they requested. Shame is all.

I'm sure your clients will be happy. It's a decent site, well done :)

Thank you for the feedback.

nobody: Maybe a bit generic, but I think most tech companies are. Any ideas for the main menu, I know it can use some work.

thats all folks: I agree, the rollovers are a bit hard to see, but they were meant to be subtle. Numbering was for nothing other than effect, but I guess it can be changed. Why are you concerned about image permissions on a project that isn't yours? Do you work for blackberry?

Templarian: To be honest, I didn't even know about the AOL logo, now that I look I see exactly what you guys are talking about. I've revised the logo about 10 times and this looked the best.

-=IchWill=-: Not sure how you can say that.

hybrid101: It is an arial font, not sure what would look better or "thinner".

icio: Not really sure what else can be done with the footer. I don't want to take away from the content area and this isn't really a fancy site, but more of a corporate feel.

jcombs,

The reason I mentioned the black berry image, was it's a nice image as with all the images that you used on the site, and when I did a site for a company before it went live they asked for proof that the images on the site had been paid for.

The only thing that seems out of place is the "web dev" icon in relation to the other icons. Also for usability the logo should be linked to the home page. The more I look over the site I really do think you have a solid site!

Makes sense. I also agree about the web icon in comparison to the rest, just not sure what I really want to put there that would be appropriate. I will think of what I can do there and try to spiff up the menu a little with some more effects.

Rabbell: Colors were requested and I am a fan of blue so can't really change that. I think blue actually works best for this. I'm certainly not the best graphic designer and tried many different logo ideas based on what they wanted, and this was the best looking one out of the group, but that isn't to say it is finalized yet.

I dunno...I think everything works relatively well. Not much wow factor tho but who cares. Is a nice and clean site. Works for me...
