its ok. it is extremely basic. the fonts are weak. try using helvetica for the "welcome to the real deal bbq". logo looks good. the menu also needs some work; a nice silver background behind the links would look nice. im sure the whole thing would look alot nicer with more content aswell. overall, its simple, neat, and easy to navigate.

Not bad, I quite like it - Except the grayness. I think the gray takes away the fun/happy/cheer atmosphere of the other elements. Maybe a light blue will be better, I dunno. Just try something different =)

The menu needs to be a little more eyecatching, and the star needs anti-aliasing.

nice logo :)
I like the beam effect behind the logo. I like the colours you've used and I like the site. Nice design. Clean. The star of the site is the logo. It tells me everything I need to know about your friends company. Did you produce the logo cause if you did...well done.
I agree with mikken above about the menu. Needs to have much more pazzaz. Try changing the font, maybe add button images, maybe a rounded rectangle behind the nav, or maybe switch completely to a vertical nav on the left hand side. The one thing I'm sure about though is that it needs a little TLC.
Also where you have the lorem ipsum right now, I would make this part of the site very minimal, especially on the front page. I wouldn't just have text. I'd have some food images, some former customer testimonals and maybe even a sample menu (or menus) of the kinda food produced.
Anyway nice site, few touches and I think you're there. :)
