I created this site and am sorta novice to the whole Flash endeavor. Taking tips from this site as well as others. I'm trying to figure a way to get rid of the "white out" before the preloader.

Any suggestions?

Thank you! :)

ok....bit of an odd subject for a site, but anyway..In terms of critique. I don't really like the colour and typography. Bank Gothic font yea? Change the font to suit the subject matter a bit better and the site seems a little dark for a lust/love site lol. Make it a bit brighter.

Take a look at www.colourlovers.com to give you some ideas.

Plus the lens flare you have used in the background is a little tacky..

sorry for being a bit blunt, just my opinion at the moment and personal preference I guess.

Also in terms of technical critique to stop the site loading up white and then go to the preloader make the background colour of your swf black or give it a "wmode parameter of transparent"

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the tip on the Colourlovers. There's too much pastel for my taste, feels like I was being attacked by Easter egg colored worms. I'm going to explore that site more to find the colors I'm looking for. :)

You suggested the "wmode parameter of transparent" where shall I place that?

Again, I'm a novice so any tips will be well received just don't be rude or immature about it.

:)

if your using something like Dreamweaver click on the swf and in the properties pallete click on parameters and then add "wmode" and in the other bit put "transparent". Or alternatively go into the code view and adjust the wmode there :)

<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
