For any Brits (or anyone else that's interested for that matter), Tim Henman has won his 2nd round match. :beam:

...I hear anna kournikova isn't in it. She dropped out because her knee hurt?

Suprisingly, despite her dropping out, she's still got the same odds on winning the tournament.

edit: (added in kournikova, for those who can't assume.)

Haha! I love that guy! He's one of the last player to play serve-volley on the Tour :)

Now let's all support Grosjean!!

Aislin - you win for joke of the day so far, I laughed pretty hard dude :)

And kit - that's good news, I'm not from your crazy part of the world where your money is in pounds and you weigh yourself with "stones" but I do like Henman :)

Us crazy Brits love Tim Henman. :beam:

I'm considering putting money on him reaching the semi finals again before collapsing under the pressure. :P

I've got the realtime Scoreboard loaded onto my desktop too, so I can keep track of what's happening. :)

I dont love Tim! :P He bugs me tbh..
he realises he's Britain's only tennis hope (besides Greg ;)) and it's gone to his head. he always comes across as really arrogant. which bugs me. what bugs me more is when stupid people in the crowd constantly shout "cmon tim!" x 1000000000 despite the fact that he's in a first round match... I mean... fgs cmon!
weeeeeeee! I love... tennis :)

Greg's out already though, so Henman is the only English guy left. Heh, even if Rusedski was still in, Henman is the only English guy etc etc. :P

Alright, so we don't all love him per se... But we want him to win. Just once. Then he can retire into obscurity, as long as he wins Wimbledon and puts us out of our misery. :P

Hmmm, hungry... *Runs to vending machine for cookies*

Sweet Christ. I thought he was talking about me for a minute. Then I remebered it was about this Tim Henman, not the legendary Tim Godin.

Thanks for NOT insulting me, Asphalt Cowboy. I thought you hated me for a second. :P:P:P

Edit to keep on topic:

I love tennis, but haven't kept up with the tournaments much. Is that Agassi guy still around? Sampras? I remember those were my idols when I first started playing tennis.

Sampras is out, isn't he? I'm not really sure, I only ever watch Wimbledon. Well, I don't overly watch that, since I'm at work.. :sure:

Tennis is fun to play, though I was always terrible at it. My old school's courts used to be right next to a main road, and I had a very excessive serve... :sure: The number of times one of us had to chase a tennis ball down the road doesn't bear thinking about. :P

did sampras even turn up? for once Tim is one of the only contenders lol :)
he'll still lose methinks...

and if he wins, he'll be remembered for winning 'that year when no one turned up'

I was a born natural tennis player. My first course in it I was like, 12, and whopping all the 16-17 year olds. I loved it.

Too bad I let that go. I haven't played in about... a year. I guess.
Maybe I should get back into it.

Henman is seeded 10th, I think. That's what my little scoreboard says, anyway. :)

It was fun last year when Ivanisivic won it... Since he beat Henman in the semis every English tennis fan decided that they wanted him to win. :)

It's a cute scoreboard. :beam:

Full of handy information and trivia. :) God, I wish there was a TV in here... :sure:

Last job we had loads of TVs everywhere, so during sporting events and that we used to have them constantly on. Was a blessing during the World Cup. :) And during Wimbledon we all downed tools and crowded into one little room to watch the final. :beam:
